Gavin Taylor, Managing Director

  Gavin Taylor has been active in capital management and private and public equity since 1991, his nearly 25 years of global investment experience include positions with GT Global Capital Management (now a division of INVESCO) and W.R. Hambrecht & Company while based in San Francisco, European American Securities in London and Lazard Freres Asset Management and Terra Nova Capital in New York.   Mr. Taylor has also consulted for Shell Oil UK Plc., Procter and Gamble Inc and the 2nd largest Grain exchange in the world; the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange.
  Mr. Taylor’s extensive experience has made him both a trusted source and an expert at evaluating and structuring lower middle market investment opportunities.  In the course of his career he has established a large number of relationships with high quality strategic and institutional investors around the world, all of whom focus on acquiring and providing capital to small and micro cap companies.  He has raised over $500mil for debt and equity issuances and over $140mil in (PIPE) private placements.  Originally from London, England, Gavin received his B.A Economics from the University of Manitoba, Canada and his MBA from the University of Edinburgh in the UK. He has also received his series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses.

Phillip Brown, Managing Director

Phillip Brown is a Managing Director at Brown, Taylor and Company where he specializes in buy-side and sell-side merger and acquisition advisory. Phillip has more than 25 years of investment banking experience having previously served as an investment banker with Smith New Court, Bankers Trust and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. During his career, he has advised clients in a wide range of industries in countries around the world with transactions totaling more than $2 billion in both financing and M&A. Phillip has extensive experience with a broad range of transactions, including buy-side M&A, sell-side M&A, private placement financing, fairness opinions and going public transactions, he has also advised many boards of directors on overarching financial strategy. Phil is very experienced in helping lower middle market companies achieve market leading valuations and offering guidance through exit transactions.
Phil received his MBA from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and his BA from the University College London, England. Mr. Brown has also obtained his Series 3, 7, 63 and 65 license.

Declan Magnusson, Senior Research Analyst

  Declan began his finance career over 15 years ago, at BT&Co, he utilizes his extensive experience in private equity research, mid-market company analysis, and deal structuring to lead our middle market research team.
  Mr. Magnusson has held several long-term senior roles at both Renaissance Advisors and Strategic Growth Partners, he received his BA in Economics. from the University of Cardiff, Wales.

Benjamin T. Willey III, Research Analyst

  Ben Willey has over 15 years experience in small company banking and specializes in corporate finance. Ben has held management positions at both Wells Fargo and US Bank.   Mr. Willey is also very active in serving as an adviser to a number of pacific northwest early stage companies.
  Mr. Willey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Inter-cultural Communication and a Master of Science in International Business Communication with emphasis in Inter-cultural Management; both from Eastern Washington University, Washington.

Andrew Garcia, Vice President

  Andrew Garcia is a Senior Analyst with BT&Co., he has specialized in helping middle market firms recognize and take advantage of their market position and exceed their financial goals for most of his career. Andrew’s experience comes for his time as a Senior Analyst at Pontchartain Capital, where he specialized in acquisition due diligence, and also his positions as Senior Forensic Accountant at Legier and Company and as a Senior Analyst at Postlewaite & Netteville in New Orleans, LA, where he worked extensively with mature lower middle market companies.
Andrew received his BS in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of New Orleans, LA and is currently completing his MBA at the Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business.

Lindsey Snyder, Analyst

Lindsey specializes in maintaining relationships with Investment Funds, family offices and strategic acquirers. Her recent career experience at Daymark Consulting and Lambay Advisors, where she specialized in acquisition due diligence and fund development as well as Portfolio and Business Development at ReMax Landmark led her to develop a passion for working with Investment funds and evaluating potential acquisitions. Lindsey also gained valuable transaction experience whilst she provided portfolio management for international accounts while at CB Richard Ellis.
Ms. Synder holds her Bachelors degree in finance from Boston University, Boston, MA and her Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.
